Even with the most carefully managed processes, challenges can arise — although this has been rare for us. If it happens, we will promptly find a suitable replacement. This is all covered in our standard contracts.

Absolutely — and we highly recommend it. In-person collaboration can significantly strengthen team dynamics and accelerate alignment. It’s an excellent opportunity for product planning, engaging with internal stakeholders, and connecting directly with customers to gain a deeper understanding of your business.
To make this easier, we include a Team Building Fund in our standard contracts, which can be used to support travel for onsite periods. Native Coders will also take care of the entire process of securing a Swedish work visa for the relevant team members, for stays of up to three months, depending on your needs.
We’re here to ensure that onsite collaboration is both smooth and impactful.

Absolutely! You are always welcome to visit and work alongside your team in Nairobi. In-person collaboration can be especially impactful when your team includes members with different roles and backgrounds — and in many cases, it’s more efficient for one person from your side to travel to Nairobi than coordinating multiple team members traveling in the opposite direction.
To support this, Native Coders includes a Team Building Fund in our standard contracts. Managed by Native Coders, this fund can be used to help cover travel-related costs and ensure your visit is both productive and cost-efficient.
While you’re here, we’ll also be happy to arrange optional team-building activities outside of work — helping strengthen relationships, build trust, and make the experience memorable.
And if you’re planning to grow your team, your visit provides a perfect opportunity to meet and interview potential new team members on-site.
We look forward to welcoming you in Nairobi whenever you’re ready!

Our consultants can be engaged in different ways depending on the project — full-time, part-time, or as subcontractors through Native Coders. We always aim to balance job security with flexibility, while ensuring top-quality delivery.
For example, if you need someone for a shorter part-time assignment that still requires adding a new team member, we work to find the most suitable arrangement for both the consultant and the assignment — ensuring a professional setup and a strong, committed contribution from day one.

If your team is contracted at a 100% allocation level, they will work exclusively with you.

We encourage our customers to be highly involved in the selection process. For us, this is a key success factor to ensure a strong match and foster long-term collaboration.

Like many modern companies, we offer flexible working arrangements to help balance professional and personal life. However, we also believe an office is essential for building a strong, positive company culture, supporting professional networks — especially for junior team members — and, of course, enjoying fun team moments like a Swedish fika.

Fair Coding is a concept created by Native Coders, built on five key pillars: - Fair Pay - Health Insurance - Work-Life Balance - A Healthy Work Environment - Opportunities for Professional Growth

Environment and climate

At Native Coders, we believe that any company must work in harmony with the climate and our planet. Our primary emissions stem from electricity usage in our Nairobi office. Given Kenya's climate, heating is not a significant concern; instead, our energy consumption mainly involves lighting and powering our computers. We conduct most of our meetings online and endeavor to use trains and public transportation for any necessary in-person client meetings in Sweden. Within Kenya, our team predominantly relies on matatus (public minibus taxis) for commuting to the office, unless working from home, as we use a hybrid work model.
